Terms of use
Last updated 13 August 2026.
Hardwood Club is a free tool for tracking pickup basketball. These terms are deliberately short and say what actually applies.
What this is
Hardwood Club lets a group create a club, record who played and what the score was, and see ratings and stats derived from that. It is run as a personal project, not a company.
Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple. There is no password to lose. You are responsible for keeping access to the account you sign in with — if you lose access to your Google or Apple account, you lose access to your clubs, and there is no separate recovery path.
You must be 13 or older to use Hardwood Club.
Clubs and admins
Whoever creates a club is its admin. Admins can add and remove players, edit scores, change club settings and export the club's data. If you join someone's club, you are trusting that person with the data listed in the privacy policy. Admins can see the email address of everyone on their roster.
Anyone with a club's join code can join it. Choosing a memorable code makes that easier for your members and easier for strangers — that is a trade-off you make, and the app warns about it when you set one.
What you agree not to do
- Upload photos of people who have not agreed to it, or any content that is illegal, harassing or obscene.
- Add people to a roster who have not agreed to be there.
- Try to access another club's data, break the app, or use it to attack anything else.
- Resell or rebrand the service.
Your content
Scores, names, photos and anything else you enter stay yours. You give permission to store and display them for the purpose of running your club — nothing else. They are not used for advertising, not sold, and not used to train anything.
Ending it
You can leave a club, delete your data, or stop using the app at any time — see Privacy for how. Accounts or clubs may be removed if they are used for the things listed above.
No warranty, and the honest bit about reliability
Hardwood Club is provided as-is, with no guarantee that it will be available, correct, or free of bugs. It is a free tool run by one person. Do not treat it as the only copy of anything you care about — admins can export the whole club as JSON or CSV from More → Data, and it is worth doing that occasionally.
To the extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from using it, including lost data.
Changes
These terms may change. Material changes will be noted in the release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
